What do you need? When do you need it?

You can trust Guru Labels to deliver.

Nick Lowe
Director

My role at Guru is to develop our team and facility in order to meet our customers’ needs and expectations.

For me, it is rewarding to be able to think creatively and out of the box in order to satisfy the needs of our customers and to enter untapped markets. Coming from a sales background, I understand the obstacles to customer satisfaction.

Being an employee of Guru, I enjoy receiving customer feedback about how we saved the day, exceeded expectations, and provided friendly and wonderful service. Delivering quality products and good old-fashioned customer service never gets old!

It is my passion to create new relationships and take an existing business to the next level. Many of our largest customers began with small inquiries that quickly grew into much more. The customer has always been at the centre of everything we do. Our ethos has always been to do whatever it takes and leave nothing in the locker.

In my spare time, I love gardening and growing my own fruits and vegetables. I live on a small acreage, and we have some livestock (pets) alpacas, geese, chickens and so on. I balance the hectic business life with the slow-paced farm life.

Alissa Campbell
Chief Financial Officer

While my job title may be Financial Officer, I wear many hats here at Guru. Aside from my financial duties, I act as a catch-all for anything else that isn’t done by someone else!

I lead the accounts team, execute the financial affairs of the business and manage the company’s extracurricular activities, such as software development, data analysis and most recently the construction of our premises in Lisarow.

Whether it’s finding an odd balance in an account or developing a new process for order movement, I thrive on challenges at Guru and love working with others.

The best part of my job is hands down our team. We are so lucky to work with such great people in a collaborative environment. Everyone helps each other. We all have busy jobs, everyone knows their role and does it to the best of their ability every day and we’re always working together on the next amazing thing.

Whenever I’m not working, I’ll be crafting! Papercraft, crochet, sewing, cake decorating, puzzles – if it uses your hands and your mind I’ve probably bought all the equipment and given it a shot at some point. In addition to crafting, I’m an avid true crime fan, a book lover, and enjoy tea parties and family dance jams with my husband and two daughters.

Adam Evans
Operations Manager

In my role as Operations Manager, I work across all departments and try to help out where needed. For me, a typical day at Guru consists of organising the day’s workflow for production, checking over incoming work, monitoring for issues during the day and rearranging resources.

One of my favourite parts of my job is finding solutions to problems and developing new products and processes. At Guru, we’re all about continuous improvement – quality, speed, and service. It’s great to be part of a team that values ideas. I love taking on new challenges and finding unique ways to deliver results for our customers.

Prior to working for Guru, I completed a degree in Graphic Design but I also have experience working as a web designer and IT professional. These roles have all been beneficial to me in my position.

In my free time I have an affinity for tinkering, be it playing with 3D printers, painting, illustrating or photoshopping, developing games or (very badly) woodworking. Unless there’s a new movie out, then I’ll be at the cinema!

Nicole Jones
Operations Co-ordinator

My role at Guru is Operations Co-ordinator and purchasing supervisor.

My favourite thing about working at Guru Labels is that it’s a very family-oriented company. My colleagues are so supportive and great to work with.

Additionally, I love working for a company that is always looking to the future. Guru invests a lot of time on new technologies to offer our customers the best possible product. With our quick turnaround, outstanding customer service, and top-quality labels, I feel proud to be a part of such an outstanding organisation.

If I’m not working, you’ll likely find me at the beach, enjoying time with friends or walking the dog.

Timothy Burnett
National Sales Co-ordinator

In my role as National Sales Co-ordinator, I am responsible for overseeing and developing the department’s day-to-day operations. It is my responsibility to ensure all sales inquiries, quote requests, and orders are responded to in a timely manner.

My print industry knowledge has grown over the past 16 years, having worked in a variety of roles and environments.

The great work-life balance Guru offers is what I enjoy most about the company. However, I also enjoy the problem-solving aspects of my job. My time at Guru has provided me with a great deal of new challenges and opportunities.

Having a sense of empathy is crucial for providing exceptional service. It is easy to build trust and rapport with a customer when you show you care about their needs and concerns. My goal is to extend this level of service to each and every one of our clients. It helps that I work for a company that prioritises quality and customer service.

Whenever I’m not working, I spend time with my kids and engage in my ‘nerdy’ hobbies. We love playing video games, warhammer 40k and driving remote control cars. As an avid music lover, I share this passion with my kids as well.

Stefanie Harker
Account Manager

As Account Manager, I am responsible for taking care of some of our amazing clients.

It is my number one priority to make sure my customers are completely satisfied and keep coming back. The joy of giving our customers an amazing experience keeps me motivated to keep doing what I do.

The best part of my job is the amazing team I work with, all striving for the same goal, to provide our customers a great experience! If you need the impossible done, we are the company you can count on. We are the company customers turn to when other companies say ‘it can’t be done’. No matter how big or small their order, we make their experience first class!

One thing you might be surprised to learn about me is that I’m a professional singer and dancer with 25 years of experience in the theatre! You may even spot me in a commercial or two!

Darren Collier
Account Manager

As Account Manager at Guru, I answer incoming calls, respond to consumer inquiries, and resolve customer issues.

My goal is to ensure that customer inquiries are replied to promptly and goods leave our facility on or before their promised date.

I enjoy exceeding customers’ expectations and seeing them happy when their orders are finalised and received on time. It’s one of my favourite things about my job.

When I’m not at work, I spend my weekends playing golf with my mates and working on my home renovation project (when I find the time!).

Kylie Bryson
Customer Service Clerk

Guru is such a fun place to work, and our clients and team members make it even more enjoyable!

My role is customer service, so I answer your calls, respond to your emails, send quotes, and process orders. No day is the same at Guru so it’s never boring. There is always something to brighten your day, whether it’s a funky label design we see or surprise treats left on our desks.

Our mission here is to ensure our valued customers have the best experience with us. We do this by keeping things simple and efficient. When we can do one small gesture to help the customer and see it mean the world to them and their business, we know we’ve done our job right.

When I am not at Guru, I’m spending time with my family. I’m a dance Mum, gamer Mum, AFL Mum and actively involved in our AFL club being Junior Registrar and Manager to our Youth Girls U15 team, growing and promoting girls in AFL.

Tracy Stinson
Accounts Clerk

My role as an Accounts Clerk at Guru is not only about completing tasks but also making sure every order runs smoothly through our ERP system so we can finalise them and deliver great service for our customers.

With over 35 years of experience in accounts receivable, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the Guru team. Along with 14 years of IP within Guru Corp, I have 5+ years’ inventory and purchasing experience as well as HR-related knowledge.

I always find it exciting to see what challenges my colleagues come up with next. And, I love that we’re able to provide a service for our customers unlike any other company out there!

If I’m not working you’ll find me travelling Australia in my caravan with my husband.

Rosalyn McDonnell
Accounts Clerk

I work in both accounts payable and receivable, while also assisting with payroll.

Working with great people, approachable management, and good work-life balance are some of the perks of working at Guru. Using a PivotTable boosts my dopamine and I love to be busy.

Prior to working for Guru I completed a Bachelor of Accounting and accumulated 15 years in transactional finance.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two small children. We go on family outings frequently and try to do something new every weekend!

Larissa Clark
Accounts Clerk

I love my job at Guru because everyday is a new adventure. There’s never any monotony or repetition, which makes it challenging but also fun!

It is always great to work with people who you get along well with and enjoy their company. The days fly by when I am surrounded by such an infectiously positive group of individuals!

Guru is a company that truly cares about their employees. The work environment here is the best I’ve experienced. Having the opportunity to interact with everyone on site and feeling like my opinion matters makes me look forward to going to work every day. Not everyone has that experience of their workplace, so this really is a special place.

My goal is to ensure that each client feels cared for and receives exceptional customer service.

One thing you might be surprised to learn about me is that I have my boat, truck and motorbike licences! Beep beep!

Mattew Osborne
Web Designer

At Guru, I am responsible for the development and management of our online print shop portals. With my prior experience working as a web designer for multiple large companies, I feel I bring a wealth of experience to my role.

What I enjoy most about my job at Guru is being a part of the growth of our online portals. It’s rewarding to work closely with customers to ensure they have a great experience using our portals and ensure the integrity of their brands are maintained.

Guru Labels’ success is attributed to our ability to provide an exceptionally high level of service. We share our expertise with our customers, providing them with the best labelling strategies. Through our online portals, our customers can not only create products, but also take a lot of administrative work off their plate so they can concentrate on their core business.

When I’m not working, you can find me making music. Currently, I am a bass player in three different bands: Distillery (original music), Chiseld (the best Cold Chisel Tribute band in the country) and Rock Pigs (80s/90s/00s cover band).

Tayla Amidy
Graphic Designer

My role at Guru is within the Art/Marketing Department. I am in charge of ensuring that our clients’ artwork is print-ready. This includes checking their file sizes, colour management and image quality to name just a few things I do!

Some weeks my role has me creating labels too – which I absolutely love. Developing ideas and concepts that excite clients is a great feeling. When I see the final label on a product, I can say – I helped design that!

As a kid I wanted to be a clown, I liked the idea of being able to make people laugh and be happy. Obviously, I’m not a clown now (depends on who you ask) but I think being a designer, in a way, makes people happy. I get to help clients see their designs come to life, especially when I had a hand in helping them design their labels

Having the opportunity to learn something new every day is what I enjoy most about working at Guru. The industry is always evolving and Guru ensures that we stay up to date with the latest machinery, and printing practices. My job also allows me to take on a variety of design projects, so I am always able to be creative in my role.

Spencer Price
Digital Print / Finishing Line Operator

Here at Guru, I operate the print presses. Having worked in the printing industry for many years, I bring a wealth of knowledge to this position.

The best part of my job at Guru is working with such a great team and doing such a wide variety of print work. It helps keep things interesting!

As a company, we are always striving to improve and provide our customers with the latest label technology. I also enjoy using the latest equipment at Guru and experimenting with new methods to deliver exceptional results. It makes me proud to be on the cutting edge of what’s new and exciting in our industry.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and taking them on outings and holidays!

Brett Wilson
Digital Print / Finishing Line Operator

In my role at Guru, I handle print press and finishing operations. On a typical day, you will find me running one of our presses or converting labels.

With more than 24 years of industry experience, I bring a wealth of printing knowledge and insight to my role at Guru. It is always my goal to deliver the best results to our customers.

Being able to see the labels we create on products out in the real world is what I enjoy most about my job. It’s always rewarding to see the team’s hard work come to fruition.

Gary Palmer
Digital Print / Finishing Line Operator

As a finishing line operator, I am able to work with all aspects of our production process from design and development through to manufacturing. My experience in digital printing allows us to produce high-quality products quickly and efficiently.

With my background in printing and certification as a Flexographic operator, I possess a wealth of knowledge about the printing industry. In addition, I have a knack for repairing equipment and often help out with repairs. What impressed me most about working here was how pleasant the working environment is. Normally, print factories aren’t considered clean environments, but Guru Labels is anything but ordinary! The ventilation is exceptional, the facility is modern and bright, and the equipment is state-of-the-art. It’s so much more enjoyable to work in a pleasurable environment.

My personal philosophy is to get it right the first time. Providing quality products to our clients is something I strive to achieve.

Unsurprisingly, I love fixing things in my freetime but aside from being a handyman I also enjoy fishing!

Matthew Jarvis
Production Assistant

While my main priority at Guru is acting as the main GM (finishing line) operator, I’m also a general all rounder assisting with various tasks across the board.

Prior to working for Guru I worked on machines in various warehouses, as well as working in signwriting. Guru’s environment is surpassed. It’s such a pleasure to work in such a state-of-the-art factory. Everything is the very best – equipment, layout, and atmosphere, so it’s easy to give your best.

I enjoy being busy and working on a variety of machines and projects. I thrive in Guru’s fast-paced environment. I work with some great people, and that’s one of the most enjoyable parts of my job. It feels like I’m part of a big family!

In my spare time I spend a lot of free time gaming, which a lot of people find surprising at my ripe old age of 40.

Joel O’Brien
Production Assistant

I specialise in wide format printing at Guru. In comparison to my previous roles, my work at Guru is a lot more hands-on.

My favourite part of my job is using the machines to deliver exceptional results for our customers. The quality, speed, and attention to detail we provide are what our customers love about us!

As an avid problem solver, I enjoy a good challenge. I’m lucky to have a job at Guru that allows me to put my skills to good use.

Michael Motte
Production Assistant

My role at Guru is more of a jack-of-all trades, helping out wherever needed.

One of my favourite aspects of my job, aside from the coffee machine, is that there is no divide between departments or roles. I appreciate the effective communication that makes working a breeze! It feels more like a team of friends than a group of colleagues to me. We all work together for the common good. There’s no ‘turf wars’ or egos!

Management takes a real interest in each and every team member. It is important for them to understand our goals, needs, and make sure we feel supported in our roles.

Our team has a real sense of camaraderie and care for each other, so we are all very happy here! Being happy in your job is great, and I believe our customers benefit from it.

When I’m not working you can typically find me at the gym or taking long drives.

Jacob Bowley
Production Assistant

My main job at Guru is running our label finishing system, AKA Barry, which is used for slitting, rewinding and final job inspections. Sometimes you’ll find me in the Thermal Transfer section or helping production organise and finalise labels before shipping.

Before working at Guru I worked as a press brake operator for a metal manufacturing company. Through that role, I gained an understanding of how to safely operate industrial machinery, a skill that I have further refined at Guru. Additionally, I studied graphic design, which helped me develop a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.

Guru’s friendly and professional atmosphere make it a great place to work. One of my favourite things about my job is seeing the final product before it’s shipped to the client. Creating a top quality label takes a lot of effort. It is super satisfying to know how much effort and care the entire team has put into producing a top-notch product!

In my spare time I enjoy getting out and taking landscape photography, watching films and designing my future home (movie room included, of course). Occasionally I’ll do photo-retouching as a side gig, just to keep the creative juices flowing.

Daniel Lowe
Production Assistant

I handle most of the printing within the Thermal Transfer Department.

I enjoy the process of taking a client’s digital artwork and physically creating it, through problem-solving, testing, and printing. The feeling of holding a finished job in my hands is very rewarding for me.

Before Guru, I worked in a variety of industries. I have experience in retail, information technology, and even factory work! At Guru Labels, everyone is on the same level, management and staff alike. We all work together towards a common purpose. The relationships we build with each other provide a morale boost that helps us accomplish even the most challenging tasks.

It’s also really rewarding to be on the cusp of the latest innovations. Guru Labels is leading the printing industry with our new, state-of-the-art custom machines that can handle more orders, faster and to a better quality than ever before. The newest and most innovative printing methods make for longer lasting labels that really do stand-out from the crowd.

In my free time I like to hang out with my Rainbow Lorikeet, Arco. He will happily follow me around the house while I do stuff or watch a movie with me!

Greg Osborn
Warehouse / Production Assistant

Prior to joining Guru Labels, I worked in a number of warehouses in different industries, managing inwards and outwards stock control, WHS of warehouses, logistics management, inventory control, and team leadership.

Guru offers a rewarding work environment. The company invests just as much in its people as it does in its equipment. Everyone is motivated to give their best. There is always room for new ideas and opportunities for learning and upskilling. While we each have our primary role, we don’t work in silos. The environment is one of trust and freedom so that you can perform your role to the best of your abilities. In other words – there’s no ‘micro managing’. In addition, you have the opportunity to take on new responsibilities, which makes your job more rewarding.

When not working you’ll most likely find me at home spending time with family and enjoying a weekend of sport, BBQ and catching up with mates.

Crystal Yorke
Logistics/Production Assistant

My role in the logistics department includes receiving, dispatching, finalising, and packing orders. I prepare and manage shipments, as well as handle labelling, tracking, and POD’s when necessary.

Additionally, I assist with data entry and international freight management.

The most rewarding aspect of my role at Guru Labels is working as a team and achieving a collective goal. We take pride in seeing our work meet and even exceed customer expectations.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and daughter.
