As you may have heard, our respected industry colleague, Foxcil, has made the difficult decision to close its doors after an incredible ten-year journey as one of the country’s most innovative label businesses. While this news may come as a surprise, we at Guru Labels are honoured to step in and take over Foxcil’s customer list, ensuring that you continue to receive the outstanding service you’ve come to expect.
Roger Kirwan, the owner and industry visionary behind Foxcil, explained the rationale behind the decision to close the business: “Innovation and retooling are essential in print to remain current and continue producing exceptional results. Sadly, the costs associated with retooling with the latest technology and equipment is something we at Foxcil can no longer keep up with. For this reason, we ceased manufacturing.” Kirwan further expressed his gratitude to his loyal staff, saying, “I would personally like to thank all my staff for their loyalty and hard work over the past 10 years.”

We understand that change can sometimes be unsettling, but we want to assure you that this transition will be seamless. All existing communication channels with Foxcil will remain open and will now feed into Guru Labels.
When reflecting on Foxcil’s closure, Nick Lowe, the Founder and Director of Guru Labels, shared his sentiments: “We are sad to see the Foxcil business finalise in this way, but we are humbled that we have been approached to look after the Foxcil customers moving forward. Guru and Foxcil have been responsible for pushing both businesses to excel over the past decade, providing everything from healthy competition through to co-operative joint ventures. We have always held Roger and his team in high regard, and they should be proud of the business they have created in the digital label space. Carl Butchard, the former general manager at Foxcil, will be joining our team at Guru Labels. We are thrilled to welcome Carl to the team and we look forward to extending his journey in the print industry, by continuing to promote quality label products and service under Guru Corporation.”
