Habanero a go-go - Food Labels
The owner of a hot sauce company from South Australia came to Guru Labels looking for a new series of vibrant labels for his products.
Habanero a go-go produces a range of hand-made hot sauces made from Aussie ingredients.
Duane, the company’s owner, wasn’t happy with the labels produced by his previous printer, so he came to Guru Labels for a solution.
One of Duane’s biggest concerns was the vibrancy of his labels to go on his bottles.
Guru Labels did some different colour versions for him to choose from. These are known as “pre-production samples”, and it’s a great way for clients to see what their labels could look like before committing to a full run of them.
By working with Duane and his designers, the team at Guru Labels was able to make suggestions for tweaks to the CMYK break up (how much of each colour is used) in order to get the vibrant result he was looking for.
Nick Lowe, Founder and Director of Guru Labels, highlights the importance of selecting the perfect finishing machine, “We have worked closely with the GM team to identify the perfect machine for our needs – one that would enhance our production capabilities, streamline operations, and contribute to our eco-friendly goals. After careful analysis, GM provided us with a state-of-the-art machine tailored to our requirements.”

Duane also wanted custom-shaped lid labels for his bottles. These have a perforation through the label so they can be easily torn when opening the bottle, while also acting as a seal while the product is on the shelf.
In the end, Guru Labels helped Duane come away with a vibrant set of labels that he is proud to display on his products. Here’s what he has to say –
“Working with the Guru team has been a great experience from the initial enquiry right through to the finished labels.
Everything went smoothly thanks to Stef’s advice, the labels look great and arrived on time as promised. Thank you to everyone at Guru for making this happen”. Duane.
